Outcrop Analog Models BSc 2012

1. Download Rock Type Configurator
2. Extract the files onto your desktop
3. Click (on this site) 'Files' in the bottom right corner and download your model
   1. Extract all files into the same folder you just extracted the software to
   2. The rhino model may contain modifications. From here on, use this file for any future modifications (well models)
4. Run 'RockTyping.exe'
5. Open 'Tutorial1.asc'
6. Click 'Configuration' and enter 'BSc2012_RockTyping' and hit 'Apply'
7. Click 'Output'
8. Look at 'BSc2012-visual.vtu' (ParaView) and 'BSc2012-monitored.txt' (Excel/Texteditor)
9. Restart the application
10. Load your model
11. Modify 'BSc2012_RockTyping-configuration.txt' such that it conforms to your layers (listed in your …-regions.txt)
    1. you see that you can store different configurations under different file names
12. Add rock(layer) properties as discussed in class and repeat step 6 and 7 to assign properties to the layers (layres found in your …-regions.txt file)
